We would like to invite you to an educational series entitled: \u201eCommunication with Children and Standards for the Protection of Minors in light of the so-called \u201cKamilka Act\u201d\u201d conducted by experts from the Silesian Association of Family Mediators and the MOST Association. During the three meetings we will introduce you to three topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

23 July 2024. - Legal aspects and standards for working with minors<\/strong>   - Communication and relationship building with minors<\/strong> - Aneta Tombarkiewicz-Olszewska. -<\/p>\n\n\n\n

24 July 2024 - On relationships and mediation, or how to wisely support abused children<\/strong> - Aneta Tombarkiewicz-Olszewska. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

30 July 2024. - Legal aspects and standards for working with minors<\/strong> - Agnieszka Budzy\u0144ska<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where and when?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Meetings are held at the COP Katowice, 14 Kopernika St., on the indicated days from 16.00 to 19.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For whom?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

People who run NGOs working with children and young people and anyone who wants to improve their skills in communication with minors are invited to the meetings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Priority for participation is given to those responsible for implementing standards for the protection of minors in NGOs and other institutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to apply?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We report using this form up to and including 11 July<\/a>. We will inform qualified persons of the opportunity to participate by 12 July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

23 July 2024. - Communication and relationship building with minors - Aneta Tombarkiewicz-Olszewska<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main focus of the class will be to discuss the key principles of communication with the child - building a respectful, accepting, supportive and reassuring relationship. Developing assertiveness, what child abuse is, recognising abuse, working with conflict, manifestations of violence,\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

24 July 2024. - On relationships and mediation, or how to wisely support abused children - Aneta Tombarkiewicz-Olszewska<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main focus of the class will be to work with the child based on the mediation principles of acceptability, voluntariness and trust building. Methods and tools for working with an abused child, a supportive relationship - protecting mental health and building self-esteem will be presented and discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

30 July 2024. - Legal aspects and standards of working with minors - Agnieszka Budzy\u0144ska<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The class will discuss the formal and legal aspects of the creation of Child Protection Standards and the obligations imposed by the legislator on entities working with children. An important aspect will be the correlation with the Personal Data Protection Act and the Copyright Act, which regulate the principles of processing the image of minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this class, we will also examine how to properly carry out a risk analysis in our organisations and how to incorporate the results into standards for the protection of minors.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading the way:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aneta Tombarkiewicz-Olszewska<\/strong> - Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia and Postgraduate Studies in Family and Judicial Mediation at the University of Silesia, Postgraduate Studies in Psychological Counselling and Crisis Intervention at the WSKZ, TUS Trainer, academic teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President of the Silesian Association of Family Mediators. Conducts workshops and trainings on mediation, development and strengthening of soft skills, social-emotional competences. She develops cooperation of the NGO sector with governmental and self-governmental institutions and business entities. Mediator of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, on the lists of permanent mediators of the District Courts in Warsaw, Katowice, Krak\u00f3w, Cz\u0119stochowa and Gliwice, PFRON. Specialises in economic, employee, family, civil, educational and school mediations. Actively promotes the conscious and wide use of mediation in legal, social and economic spaces. A mother of 7 children<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agnieszka Budzy\u0144ska<\/strong> - Graduate in East Slavic philology and social animation. Specialist in fundraising for inspirational activities, organisation development and digitisation of activities in NGOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project coordinator, counsellor, trainer, podcaster. She gained experience preparing and implementing projects in the field of NGO support for the MOST Association, the Silesian 3rd Sector Network and the Pomyslova.pl Foundation, as well as social activation of children and young people for the Zabrze-based Droga Association for Prevention and Family Support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
