The next initiative under the \u201eSeniorze wp\u00f3\u0142pracujeMY!\u201d project, entitled \u201dSeniors for Good Care for Seniors\u201d, is getting underway\u201d \"\ud83d\udc75\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One elderly person caring for another \u2013 usually a parent or relative \u2013 is a difficult topic that is often overlooked in public discourse. Our senior citizens have recognised this! \"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you know someone who looks after an elderly person (e.g. a close or distant relative) and who is often aged 50 or over, or 60 or over, be sure to tell them about this event. \"\u2757\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme for the initiative is as follows:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

INAUGURATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 29 November 2024, between 11.00 and 13.00 at 7 W. Stwosza Street, in Room 16, an inaugural lecture will be held entitled \u2018How can we provide systemic support for carers of people with dementia?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecturer will be Dr Urszula K\u0142osi\u0144ska \u2013 a psychologist and lecturer at SWPS.\"\ud83d\ude0d\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training schedule: at 7 W. Stwosza Street (MOPS \u2013 rooms allocated to COP), room 16 or 26, from 10.00 to 12.00:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\u2705\"4 December 2024. Lecture by Geriatrician Paulina D\u0119bowska \u2013 Geriatric challenges in the care of older people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\u2705\"6 December 2024. Lecture and workshops (practical sessions) by physiotherapist Magdalena Jantos \u2013 Fall prevention, support with walking and personal hygiene (for various types of illnesses).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\u2705\"9 December 2024: Lecture and workshop by Joanna Czerwiec, a nurse at the Social Care Home \u2013 How to care for and prevent health problems in bedridden patients, and ways of caring for people with dementia and Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\u2705\"11 December 2024: concluding lecture \u2013 Dr Urszula K\u0142osi\u0144ska \u2013 Caregiver emotional burnout. Chronic grief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those attending the final sessions of the programme will receive a support pack for family carers of older people (including post-training materials, a leaflet or a book on the topic of the sessions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
