We know the first conclusions of a survey of the municipalities in the Silesian Voivodeship most affected by energy and social change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The survey covered Bieru\u0144, Bytom, Jastrz\u0119bie-Zdr\u00f3j, Mys\u0142owice, Ruda \u015al\u0105ska, Rybnik and Zabrze, among others.
\ud83d\udd0e Residents' knowledge of a just transition, concerns about the future, as well as the readiness of local authorities for the coming changes were tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83d\udcc9 Only 13% of those surveyed believe that their municipality is prepared for the closure of the mines.<\/strong> \ud83d\udce3 This is why the MOST Association is running 10.24 projects from the Fair Transition Fund in Mys\u0142owice, Katowice and Bytom<\/strong> - supporting residents, women, young people and seniors to adapt to change and build a just future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \ud83d\udce5 For those wishing to do so, more details in the attachments:
\ud83e\udded 43% residents have heard of a just transition, but only one in three understand why it is being carried out.
\u26a0\ufe0f Among the main threats are: loss of jobs, falling living standards, lack of alternative energy sources and difficulties in developing post-mining areas.
