We are pleased to announce that 1 April 2025 The City of Katowice has announced the official results of the elections for Council of Senior Citizens of the City of Katowice for a new term of office. This council plays an extremely important role in representing the interests of Katowice’s senior citizens, supporting active ageing and working with the city authorities on policies relating to older people.

We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to everyone, who have earned the trust of the senior community and been elected to sit on the Seniors’ Council – here they are A responsible, yet inspiring, task: working for the benefit of our city’s older residents!

We would like to extend our special congratulations to Tadeusz Oczko and Janina Piwowarczyk, who were nominated by MOST Association. We are delighted that our candidates have received support and will be able to work actively on behalf of older people in Katowice. We believe that their commitment, experience and social awareness will help bring about many valuable initiatives and projects.

We are confident that the new Council will continue and build on the good practices of previous terms, launching new initiatives to bring the senior community together and support it.
