The Association for the Support of Non-Governmental Organisations „Most”, the informal group „Aktyw” and the Municipal Cultural Centre in Chybiu have applied for and obtained funding for the Project „Together for the excluded - a local initiative in the municipality of Chybie”.” under the Human Capital Operational Programme, Measure 7.3 Local initiatives for active inclusion. The project has been implemented since 1 February and will last until 30 June 2011. The project aims to involve the community of Chybie commune in activities concerning counteracting social exclusion through the development of dialogue and cooperation in the form of a bottom-up community initiative to support the implementation of a local socio-professional activation programme. The partners are primarily concerned with the dissemination of knowledge among the inhabitants of the Chybie commune about social problems, their sources and possibilities of counteracting them, the involvement of the commune's inhabitants in the preparation of the local socio-professional activation programme and the preparation and implementation of the self-help programme.
An important assumption is also the promotion and support of public-social cooperation in the commune aimed at counteracting social exclusion. The project is aimed at local organisations, social initiatives, institutions interested in solving social problems and young people from the Chybie commune at risk of social exclusion. The individual tasks are implemented in two interpenetrating areas. The most important activities of the first area are: seminars devoted to solving social problems, workshops on planning and preparing social projects, meetings during which a map of social problems of the commune and a programme of activities will be developed, as well as an off-site workshop during which a social support programme for people at risk of social exclusion from the Chybie commune will be prepared. The second area of activity is the implementation of a support programme for young people at risk of exclusion.
