Since April 2012, the MOST Association for the Support of Non-Governmental Organisations has been implementing a project entitled „BIPnij for transparency and openness in NGOs”, co-funded by the European Union. The aim of the project is to develop tools and solutions for non-governmental organisations that will assist them in their day-to-day activities and help to improve their working standards.
As part of the project, we have planned to create a model BIP website (Public Information Bulletin) tailored specifically to the needs of non-governmental organisations. They will be able to make use of the solutions developed by our experts free of charge.Between May and June this year, as part of the project, 21 seminars (comprising three thematic seminar blocks) were held in seven sub-regions of the Silesian Voivodeship: in Bielsko, Gliwice, Katowice, Rybnik, Bytom, Sosnowiec and Częstochowa, attended by representatives of non-governmental organisations.
We have now appointed standardisation team, which will draw up the relevant standards for NGOs in September and October. Experts and representatives of the third sector are involved in its work.
Very soon, non-governmental organisations from the Silesian Voivodeship with an interest in standardisation will have the opportunity to access professional guidance and resources free of charge. We hope that this will help them to operate more effectively and continue to develop.
The „BIPnij for NGO Transparency” project is being implemented between April 2012 – November 2013 by the MOST Association for the Support of Non-Governmental Organisations and the Bona Fides Mutual Aid Association, and is co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund.
