In 2023, our resource database – comprising items owned and shared by non-governmental organisations in Katowice (and beyond) – will become operational. The NGO resource database is constantly growing, and you can already find and borrow items such as: flipcharts, deckchairs, a multimedia whiteboard and… accounting advice.

If you like our idea and If you’d like to share something with other NGOs, add it to our database! To take part in the shared rental scheme:
- Add your organisation to our database using application form.
- Click the box to indicate that you want to add a new resource.
- List up to 7 resources (things, skills or people) that you’d like to share with others.
- State, Do you want your contact details to be publicly available, or would you like COP Katowice to act as an intermediary for loans?.
- Wait for a phone call or email from people interested in using the resource.
- Hire!
Idea
The NGO resource database was established in line with the concept of the so-called „sharing economy”. At COP Katowice, we believe that we don’t need to own everything. Some items in non-governmental organisations are only needed „from time to time”, and these items can be hired.
This initiative was set up so that, in the form of for a fee or free of charge share, amongst other things, specialist skills or unique knowledge, services and material resources such as chairs, tables, tents and other items needed for events. Under ‘Resources’, you can also list a hall or space that you can make available.
If you’re looking for a specific resource or someone with specialist skills, use our search tool. There you’ll find information on what’s available in Katowice and how you can make use of it. Also, remember to book an item or a person’s time well in advance!
The resource database and search engine were created as part of the „’ project„Katowice’s transport standards” funded by the National Institute for Freedom – Centre for the Development of Civil Society as part of the government’s NOWEFIO Civic Initiatives Fund Programme for 2021–2030.
