Value of the project:

The total value of the project is PLN 2 196 191.93 , 
of which the funding secured amounts to 2,086,382.33 PLN,  
of which PLN 1,866,763.14 came from the European Social Fund.

The Social Integration Centre in Zabrze will focus on providing social employment and facilitating the professional and social reintegration of people at risk of social exclusion by:

— developing the skills needed to fulfil social roles and attain the social status available to those who are not socially excluded;

— acquiring vocational skills and undergoing vocational training, retraining or upgrading one’s vocational qualifications;

— learning to plan one’s life and meet one’s needs through one’s own efforts, in particular by earning one’s own income through employment or self-employment;

— teaching people how to manage their money wisely.

In accordance with the Social Employment Act of 13 June 2003, the Centre's services can be used in particular:

— homeless people following an individual programme to overcome homelessness, as defined by the social welfare legislation,

— people with alcohol dependence, having completed a psychotherapy programme at a rehabilitation centre,

— people addicted to drugs or other intoxicating substances, having completed a treatment programme at a healthcare facility,

—people with mental health conditions, as defined by the legislation on mental health protection,

— the long-term unemployed as defined by the legislation on employment promotion and labour market institutions,

— those released from prison who are experiencing difficulties in integrating into society, as defined by the social welfare legislation,

— refugees undertaking an individual integration programme, as defined by the provisions on social assistance,

— people with disabilities, as defined by the legislation on vocational and social rehabilitation and the employment of people with disabilities, who are socially excluded and, due to their life circumstances, are unable to meet their basic living needs through their own efforts, and find themselves in a situation that leads to poverty and prevents or restricts their participation in professional, social and family life.

Individuals who cannot benefit from the assistance offered by the Social Employment Act are those who are entitled to:

  • unemployment benefits;
  • pre-retirement benefit;
  • pre-retirement benefit;
  • social pension;
  • structural pension;
  • incapacity pension;
  • pensions.

The main objective of the project is to improve the level of social and professional integration of 145 people at risk of social exclusion (87 women/58 men) living in Zabrze and neighbouring towns, through personalised and comprehensive support, including, amongst other things:  : the CIS programme, which will cover at least 40 people, and a reintegration, training and work placement programme for a total of 105 people, who will receive support tailored to their individual needs and capabilities.

  • employee package,
  • counselling in social and civic education,
