Study visit by senior citizens from Katowice to Ostrava as part of the „New Senior” project – Adult education

The second round of matches between the senior teams from Ostrava and Katowice

This is the second meeting between the senior citizens from Ostrava and Katowice. During the first visit, we hosted our partners in Katowice, and now it was time for a return visit – the senior citizens from Katowice visited Ostrava.

During their visit, the senior citizens from Ostrava shared their experiences and spoke about local policies for older people. We visited care homes, learnt about methods to support memory development, and discovered ways to help people remain physically and mentally active for as long as possible.

Inspiring meetings and new ideas

It was an incredibly inspiring trip, full of experiences and new ideas. Our team brought back a wealth of tools for working with older people, which we will put to good use in our future work in Katowice.

Joint initiatives to promote active ageing

Together with our partners, we will also develop an educational tool that will enable us to share our knowledge and best practices with other organisations. The aim is to support older people in remaining physically and mentally active for as long as possible.
