The project „With the law for YOU!” ran from January 2020 to March 2022, and we are now continuing with project activities as part of the next initiative: NGO Academy.
The main objective of the project is to raise the level of expertise 200 male and female representatives NGOs in the field of lawmaking, with particular emphasis on labour law, business law, economics and financial analysis. In addition, each project participant will have the opportunity to develop their soft skills in: self-presentation, public speaking, negotiation, preparation of press releases and official texts, creating graphics, making videos and running a YT channel and other social media, information retrieval and data analysis, time management and strategic thinking.
Project participants will be able to develop their knowledge during on-site and off-site training and webinars, The knowledge gathered during the project activities will also be available after the end of the project on an e-knowledge database and on YT. In addition, a publication with the most interesting materials will be produced as part of the project.
Subject areas of training:
- Legal information search, including case law and legislative analysis;
- The law-making process in Poland and the EU, including legislation on public consultation;
- Labour law taking into account forms of employment in NGOs, including within projects, and linking labour law with legislation relevant to NGOs: i.e. the PDPA, including the law on volunteering and anti-discrimination and anti-mobbing legislation, etc;
- Business law including the economisation of NGOs, including their economic and paid activities;
- Fundamentals of economics including the impact of macroeconomics on business;
- Microeconomics and strategic planning;
- Knowledge of the principles financial analysis in organisations and businesses, taking into account the specificities of social enterprises;
- Verbal communication, including self-presentation, public speaking and negotiations;
- Non-verbal communication, including advanced use of data analysis software, preparation of texts for the media, preparation of legal documents, preparation of consultation texts;
- Preparation of press releases and cooperation with the media;
- Promotion of activities on social media, including preparation of valuable photographic and film material to these social media;
- Managing the organisation with a focus on strategic thinking and work planning;
- Managing yourself in time.

All project activities are accessible to people with disabilities and the variety of forms of support allows for education in one's spare time and the reconciliation of professional, social and family life.
The project activities were co-financed by the European Funds under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014 - 2020. The value of the project and the funding from the Programme is PLN 351,005.00.
