MOST„ Association and the City of Zabrze are implementing the Social Integration Centre project in Zabrze, as part of the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 programme co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus.
The object of the Social Integration Centre in Zabrze will be the implementation of social employment and the professional and social reintegration of people at risk of social exclusion through:
- training in skills to fulfil social roles and achieve social positions available to those who are not socially excluded;
- acquisition of vocational skills and apprenticeships, retraining or upgrading of vocational qualifications;
- learning to plan one's life and meet one's needs by one's own efforts, especially through the possibility of earning one's own income through employment or entrepreneurship;
- teaching the ability to manage money rationally.
In accordance with the Social Employment Act of 13 June 2003, the Centre's services can be used in particular:
- Homeless people implementing an individual programme to exit homelessness, within the meaning of the provisions on social assistance,
- Alcohol-dependent persons, having completed a psychotherapy programme in a drug treatment facility,
- addicted to drugs or other intoxicants, after completing a therapeutic programme in a health care facility,
- mentally ill, as defined by mental health legislation,
- long-term unemployed within the meaning of the provisions on employment promotion
and labour market institutions, - those released from prisons who have difficulties integrating into the community, within the meaning of the provisions on social assistance,
- refugees implementing an individual integration programme, within the meaning of the provisions on social assistance,
- disabled persons, within the meaning of the provisions on professional and social rehabilitation and the employment of disabled persons, who are subject to social exclusion and, due to their situation in life, are unable to satisfy their basic needs by their own efforts and are in a situation causing poverty and preventing or restricting their participation in professional, social and family life.
Individuals who cannot benefit from the assistance offered by the Social Employment Act are those who are entitled to:
- unemployment benefits;
- pre-retirement benefit;
- pre-retirement benefit;
- social pension;
- structural pension;
- incapacity pension;
- pensions.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
The main objective of the project is to increase the level of socio-professional integration of 74 people at risk of social exclusion living in Zabrze through individualised and comprehensive support in accordance with their needs, 74 of whom will complete the path in accordance with the IPZS. The objective will be achieved during the project duration, i.e. by 29.02.2028.
