You are cordially invited to cooking workshops dedicated to fermentation and zero waste, during which participants will learn how to prepare kimchi yourself - a traditional Korean pickle that fits perfectly with the idea of not wasting food.
During the session, you will learn how pickling can help extend the shelf life of vegetables and how to combine local ingredients with exotic spices for a unique flavour.

For whom?
The workshop is aimed at to everyone! Older, younger and everyone in between is welcome!
Participation in the workshop is open to those who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- live in the Katowice area,
- learn, study or work in Katowice,
- are members or volunteers of non-governmental organisations active in Katowice.
Workshop programme
- An introduction to the basics of fermentation and the properties of kimchi,
- preparing kimchi step by step,
- discussing the safety and storage of fermented products,
- practical tips on how to use surplus vegetables for pickling,
- kimchi tasting and a brief summary of zero waste principles in the kitchen.

From persons minors is required consent parent/legal guardian to participate in the workshop!
