If you have an idea for a voluntary community initiative in the Silesian Voivodeship, we’ll help you fund and carry it out. What sort of ideas are worth submitting? These could include organising workshops, developing interesting educational materials, or even a festival or other engaging community event. We particularly strongly support ideas that promote the very concept of helping others, as well as those that protect the environment, promote health or education, in line with the celebrations of the International Year of Volunteering 2026.

What can the allocated funds be used for?
We have set aside 10,000 zł for your original ideas, and we are allocating amounts of from 500 zł to 2,000 zł So, in this round, we will provide funding for at least 5 initiatives. We can fund the purchase of goods, services, materials and tools that will directly support the implementation of your campaign and help you achieve your goal. We can also cover the costs of staff involved in the initiatives, provided that their remuneration is not the main item in the cost estimate and their involvement is justified in the initiative description.

How do I prepare and submit a bid?

  1. Please download and read the Terms and Conditions and supporting documents (you’ll find all the attachments at the bottom of this article).
  2. Please complete the Grant Application Form (Appendix 1) on a computer. In it, briefly describe your idea, budget and team. Would you like to know what we’ll be looking for when selecting projects? Take a look at Assessment forms (Appendix 2), which our assessors use.
  3. Please submit your application by email to the address wolontariat@mostkatowice.pl (entering in the subject line „Application for the 2026 mini-grant”) or drop it off in person at one of our COP branches in Katowice (14 Kopernika Street or 7 Wita Stwosza Street).

All applications received will undergo a formal and substantive assessment, and mini-grants may be awarded to those volunteer groups whose proposals score at least 50 % out of the maximum possible points during the assessment stage. Our competition is open to all volunteers in the region. However, we wish above all to support and recognise those who are already working with us. That is why Priority will be given to initiatives submitted by current volunteers of the MOST Association. We will also award bonus points to initiatives that align with the aims of the celebrations International Year of Volunteering for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026) – e.g. they promote volunteering or are linked to selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

We accept applications on an ongoing basis from 1 August to 30 October 2026. (or until funds are exhausted). Project activities may be carried out during the period from 17 August to 30 November 2026..

Throughout the call for proposals, you can count on free support from our volunteer coordinators. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by email at wolontariat@mostkatowice.pl
